 Preferences and additional features

Videos offers some additional options. Configure the application according to your preferences. View the Preferences window by opening the menu button in the top-right corner of the window and select Preferences.

General <gui>External Subtitles</gui>

Tick the option Load subtitle files when movie is loaded if you want subtitles to be loaded automatically.

Adjust font type and size, by clicking its name. Choose font type from the drop-down list. Click on the slider and change the font size. When ready click Select.

Choose the encoding from the drop-down list.

 <gui>Plugins</gui>

Plugins offer extra featured and extend functionality. You can view the list of plugins by pressing Plugins…. Select the wanted one and press Preferences if available.
Display <gui>Video</gui>

Videos allows you to specify, whether you want to Disable deinterlacing of interlaced videos. Do it by ticking this option.

 <gui>Color Balance</gui>

This option allows you to adjust Brightness, Contrast, Saturation or Hue of viewed videos. Do it by clicking and dragging along sliders.

You may go back to previous settings by pressing the Reset to Defaults button.
Audio <gui>Audio Output</gui>

Choose the type of Audio Output from the drop-down list.
